"The Little Prince" is the masterpiece of French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and also one of the world's literary classics. This book mainly tells the adventure story of a little prince from another planet on Earth.
The story begins with the little prince leaving his own planet and starting to travel in space. Along the way, he encounters all kinds of strange and interesting people or animals, such as knights, merchants, foxes, etc., and discovers many truths about life and love philosophy while getting along with them.
The most important and famous quote that has been widely used is "heart-to-heart". The author hopes that readers can realize from this story: adults always attach too much importance to utilitarianism, losing their innocence; cherishing friendship and family can make us happier; everyone needs to regain their childlike nature they once had in order to appreciate the true meaning of life.
Throughout the entire novel runs a deep reflection on how it is crucial for adults to retain their childlike spirit and emotional thinking style. The little prince represents that child who once existed deeply within us in this story while people he meets are allegories for problems present within adult society.
In summary, although "The Little Prince" is a children's literature book, it contains valuable enlightenments and reflections on topics such as life, love, family relationships,and friendships which are not only suitable for children but also beneficial for adults.
